Standardized Packages
At Mezzaluna, we prepare our cuisine without any preservatives or artificial flavor enhancers; therefore, our frozen foods differ significantly from the selections available in your local grocery store.
If the following packages don't suit you, we'll custom design one just for you. Your wish is our command.
Platinum Service - Our most popular package
- Includes 20 complete meals
- 5 entrees, 4 portions each, with side dishes (if appropriate)
- Serves a family of 4 for a week; a single person for 1 month; or a couple for 2 weeks
- Complete Package Price: $325 plus the cost of groceries
Gold Service
- Includes 10 complete meals (5 entrees, 2 portions each, with side dishes)
- Serves a single person for 2 weeks; or a couple for 1 week
- Complete Package Price: $300 plus the cost of groceries
Silver Service
- Includes 8 complete meals (4 entrees, 2 portions each, with side dishes)
- Serves a single person 8 meals; or a couple for 4 days, designed for those who are interested in trying out Mezzaluna.
- Complete Package Price: $250 plus the cost of groceries
Customized service for special diets adds a $50 service fee for menu research and development.

Container Cost
A one-time container fee of $40 is included in your first invoice. We will purchase Gladware reusable containers, for you to keep, in order for us to package your fresh cooked food. Other than Gladware, we utilize Ziploc freezer bags, aluminum pans, and other disposable containers.
Groceries
At Mezzaluna, we strive to use the best products available in the Portland Metro area so we shop at purveyors like: New Seasons Market, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Zupan's, and local farmer's markets. Grocery costs vary from menu to menu and are added to your invoice each cooking session.
Payment
Payment for services is due on your cooking date. Mezzaluna accepts VISA, MasterCard and personal checks.
Additional Food Items Available
Many of our clients have us prepare additional items for lunches, snacking and for entertaining. We are happy to bid these items individually.
Desserts
Our executive chef's specialty is baking and pastry work, therefore, his desserts come in a wide array of selections and are perfect for gift giving, dinner parties, birthday celebrations, wedding rehearsal dinners and catering events in the Portland-Vancouver area. Desserts are priced individually.
Moon & Stars
The Mezzaluna signature cake, Moon & Stars, is a recipe that originally came from Marsala, Sicily. Chef John has been serving this cake to clients and friends for many years to rave reviews. Two layers of tender genoise are moistened with Marsala wine and sandwiched around a generous filling of velvety vanilla pastry cream packed with bittersweet chocolate chunks. The top of this amazing cake is finished with a dusting of imported cocoa.
